Pages

This is a site for all artists and art enthusiasts. Here I will share info on artbooks of all kinds including the art of movie books, art instruction, art philosophy, comic books, compilations, specific artists, and more. I will be giving a quick review on the book, perhaps an image or two, and some links to the artists and where you can purchase them.

I feel that it's necessary for an artist to build a visual vocabulary to look at other artists work as well as study their craft. That said, I hope you find this site helpful in your art endeavors.

Cheers!

P.S.
Sorry for the crappy photos. You'll just have to live with it. I do...

Alphonse Mucha

Mucha is arguably one of the most influential artists of our generation. Many artists have a list of favorite artists, and many will have Mucha on their list.

First off, this book is thick. It gives a brief history on Mucha if one cares to read it. It's jam-packed with so many images you might read the text the 10th time around. Many know Mucha for his prints, but inside are photos of intricate sculptures, jewelry, and most importantly sketches.

With sketches, you can see the initial thought and energy that went in to the piece. And this book has plenty of beautiful sketches from prints to dinnerware. With 355 pages of awesomeness, I recommend this book to any artist.
